"Valkyrie" - First the Tom Cruise movie "Valkyrie" was scheduled for a Summer 2008 release. Word-of-mouth, from test screenings and all the suits in Hollywood who saw it was so bad that the movie was pushed back to February 2009. On August 14, 2008, word came from MGM and UA that they will be releasing "Valkyrie," from director Bryan Singer, on Friday, December 26, 2008. “We saw and tested the movie,” says Clark Woods, President of MGM Distribution, “and we believe a strong movie deserves a strong playdate.”
